Job summary

University of the Pacific is seeking an International Student & Scholar Services Coordinator (Temporary) to manage immigration compliance, SEVIS administration, and advising for F-1 students. As a DSO, you will handle I-20 issuance, SEVIS updates, and OPT/STEM OPT processing.

This 40-hour/week role spans six months with possible extension. Strong knowledge of immigration rules, SEVIS experience, and effective communication across diverse campus populations are essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident status required for DSO/J-1 Alternate Responsible Officer eligibility.
• Working knowledge of immigration laws and SEVIS procedures.
• Bachelor's degree; or two years of full-time relevant experience may substitute for one year of post-high school education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a DSO and ensure SEVIS compliance and reporting.
• Create, update, and maintain I-20 records and SEVIS actions.
• Monitor immigration deadlines and policy changes; update processes accordingly.
• Lead OPT post-completion case processing and advise on eligibility and timelines.
• Support STEM OPT extensions: review training plans and update records.
• Provide OPT workshops and guidance to streamline compliance.
• Triage non-OPT issues and refer to senior staff as needed.
• Collaborate with Admissions to ensure accurate I-20 issuance.
