Job summary

Amatriot Group, LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer to support the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory DSN program in Monrovia, CA. You will manage the lifecycle of software components for data processing and collaborate across development, engineering, operations, and customer teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong software engineering foundation, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to work across disciplines to meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Competent in test theory and test methodologies; knowledge of software safety and CS fundamentals.
• Knowledge of software development, software design, testing methodologies, and computer science fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate failures and coordinate corrective actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical information to management and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle management of software components used for data processing within the DSN.
• Perform system performance analysis and test & acceptance against design specifications; develop reports.
• Provide timely fixes and health analysis of subsystems after failures.
• Write procedures for complex system administrators to update and configure subsystems.
