Job summary

Food Lion in the Norfolk area is seeking a Store Receiving/DSD associate to ensure proper receiving of Direct Store Delivery products. You will uphold Food Lion policies, maintain standards, and maximize sales through excellent customer service while minimizing shrink.

The role includes duties such as vendor coordination, maintaining plan-o-grams, processing invoices, ensuring safety guidelines, and supporting promotions and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Protect company assets through proper receipt and return of DSD product.
• Demonstrate and implement vendor receiving policies.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve errors or inventory issues.
• Coordinate with the Assistant Store Manager to support promotions and timely merchandising notes.
• Verify DSD tickets, invoices, and file documentation accurately.
• Handle reclaim and damages and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
