Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in human services or education programs.
• Two years in supervisory or managerial capacity coordinating services.
• Current CT state employee with at least six months of service with DDS.
• Experience managing supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Experience in budget management, fiscal analysis and quality monitoring.
• Experience with Microsoft platforms and DDS Systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff of 15 and manage the Resource Management Division.
• Administer the regional budget for private residential/day supports, forensics, rent subsidy and transfers.
• Provide oversight of individual budgets and the Fiscal Intermediary Liaison function.
• Based in East Hartford, CT, Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm with travel.

Job description

The DS Director of Service Development and Support oversees a staff of 15 and manages the Resource Management Division within the Department of Developmental Services North Region. The role is responsible for administering the regional budget for private residential and day supports, forensics, rent subsidy and regional transfers, and provides oversight of individual budgets and the Fiscal Intermediary Liaison function. This is a full-time position based in East Hartford, CT, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with required travel.

Key qualifications:

• Eight (8) years of experience in the provision of human service or education programs
• Two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity with primary responsibility for planning, developing or coordinating services or programs
• Current State of Connecticut employee with at least six (6) months of full-time service with the Department of Developmental Services
• Experience managing supports and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Experience in budget management, fiscal analysis and quality monitoring systems
• Experience with Microsoft platforms and DDS Systems
