Job summary

Post Holdings, Inc. Wakefield facility is seeking a Dryer Packager to ensure proper packaging, sealing, labeling and stacking of finished product while maintaining cleanliness and safety in the dryer area.

The role requires reading batch records, performing pre-operational checks, and supporting maintenance with minor mechanical troubleshooting; adherence to GMPs and food safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification; forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform arithmetic with money, weights, volumes and distances.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of dryer areas.
• Verify daily, weekly and monthly sanitation schedules for dryer areas.
• Confirm and verify final weights of finished products.
• Package, seal, label and stack finished product accurately.
• Read and follow batch records and related procedures.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and monitor OEE targets.
• Understand documentation for production runs and have it verified by supervisor.
• Perform hourly case weight checks and respond to issues.
• Assist maintenance with mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
• Follow start up and shutdown procedures and safety policies.
• Ensure quality on packaging crew and correct deficiencies.
• Read POs and follow SAP/report procedures.
• Perform metal detector checks at required frequencies.
• Communicate effectively during shift hand-offs.
• Adhere to GMPs and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
