Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking a Dryer Operator II in Jerome, ID to operate the whey permeate dryer and ensure optimal daily production of permeate and protein powder. The role emphasizes safety, equipment sanitation, and adherence to production standards.

The position offers competitive wages starting at $23.89–$25.86 per hour with raises in year one, plus Sunday double time and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, Life, disability, and a 401(k) with company

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related field required.
• Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
• Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
• Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operations and cleaning of equipment associated with the dryer operation.
• Perform operator level maintenance when needed.
• Safe operation and sanitation of equipment.
• Sustain and support automated systems.
• Follow procedures and work instructions set forth through SOP’s and Master Sanitation Schedules.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wage of $23.89 to $25.86 DOE. Two pay increases within the first year up to $1.00 $1.50. Shift Differential + Double Time on Sundays. Monday - Wednesday every other Sunday 5PM to 5AM.
