Martin/Martin, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Project Manager - Dry Utility Coordinator to lead utility coordination during the design phase of civil and land development projects in the Denver area.

You will independently manage multi-stakeholder coordination, client relationships, and staff mentoring while supporting business development and practice growth. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in utility coordination, civil infrastructure, or land development.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work in the Denver area; relocation reimbursement may be provided.
• Strong understanding of regulated utility systems and coordination processes.
• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and creating utility plans.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Colorado utility providers and permitting processes and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify existing and potential utility service providers and review records, will-serve letters, and service requirements.
• Recommend potholing locations and prepare potholing plans.
• Develop and evaluate dry utility master plans, corridor alternatives, alignments, joint-use corridors, and placement strategies.
• Coordinate utility layouts, easements, sleeves, and crossings with stakeholders.
• Provide horizontal layouts and graphical representations of utility equipment locations.
• Lead utility conflict identification, tracking, risk assessment, and resolutions including relocations and permits.
• Facilitate consensus among owners, agencies, utilities, contractors, and design teams.
• Serve as primary client-facing representative and lead coordination among providers and stakeholders.
• Manage utility service applications, reviews, permitting coordination, easement discussions, and relocation agreements.
• Lead meetings and resolve design, permitting, constructability, sequencing, activation, and scheduling issues.
• Monitor project performance and communicate progress, risks, decisions, and mitigation to clients and teams.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, profitability, staffing, work plans, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors during relocation, sequencing, or conflict-resolution involving senior staff.
• Evaluate placement alternatives based on constructability, cost, permitting constraints, and future needs.
• Support business development through proposals, scope development, fee estimating, interviews, and client relationship management.
• Lead growth of dry utility coordination with internal tools, templates, training, and QC practices.
