Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting has an opening for a Dry Utility Engineering Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of dry utility infrastructure for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will guide cross-functional teams and coordinate with utility providers to ensure quality and timely project execution.

You will mentor engineers, manage scopes and budgets, and represent the firm in client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering or related dry utility development experience, with at least 5 years managing complex projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, Civil3D, or similar design software
• Experience with water/wastewater systems, pump stations, and distribution operations
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate dry utility project teams in planning, design, and regulatory compliance
• Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely delivery
• Develop utility plans, load letters, coordination exhibits, and technical documentation
• Liaise with utility companies, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to advance project milestones
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff, encouraging professional growth and technical competence
• Perform design reviews, cost estimating, and feasibility assessments
