Job summary

Eataly in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an enthusiastic Dry Market Assistant General Manager to lead retail operations and drive sales. You will oversee payroll, training, and guest service while maintaining inventory integrity and store presentation.

The role reports to the General Manager of Store Operations and requires strong communication, analytical skills, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1+ year of retail management in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Experience with cash management, purchasing and inventory.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations in Retail Dry Market to meet sales goals.
• Hire, schedule, delegate tasks, process weekly payroll, train and motivate staff.
• Create monthly promotion grids for saleable merchandise.
• Maintain store appearance and handle deleted/expired/non-saleable items.
• Monitor inventory, place orders, process deliveries, generate reports.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Facilities on layout and placement.
• Assist GM in analyzing financial data and developing strategies.
• Maintain guest service excellence and resolve incidents.
• Process and settle daily cash and card transactions; document variances.
• Perform other duties as required.
