Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a motivated Dry Etch Equipment Technician for our A Shift. You will perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on dry etch equipment in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Candidates with electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided for the right fit; must be able to work in a cleanroom and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or associate degree preferred in electrical, mechanical, or automation fields.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn complex equipment systems and follow procedures.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic corrective maintenance on dry etch equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using structured and logical approaches.
• Document troubleshooting activities, repairs, parts replaced, and equipment condition.
• Support equipment startups, shutdowns and qualifications.
• Escalate complex or recurring issues to engineers or leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
