Job summary

Polar Semiconductor, LLC in Bloomington, Minnesota, seeks a Dry Etch Equipment Engineer to monitor, sustain, and improve AMAT Centura, LAM2300, and TEL UnityMe+ tools. You will collaborate with OEMs and production teams to reach performance targets and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include improving maintenance procedures, reducing tool downtime, performing troubleshooting, and documenting activities in the Equipment Management System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical related fields.
• Minimum two years’ experience maintaining equipment.
• Knowledge of electronics and control systems, mechanics/robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics and vacuum systems.
• PC skills and familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to properly use common hand tools.
• Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to multi-task complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain, and improve Dry Etch equipment and processes.
• Work with OEMs/vendors for equipment support.
• Develop and modify maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment per manuals and schematics.
• Document maintenance activities in the Equipment Management System.
• Drive CQI and cost-reduction projects.
• Address SPC issues and support production teams.
• Ensure safety and proper PPE usage.
