Job summary

ITW in Troy, OH is seeking a packaging line operator to assemble and pack tubular wire using Drum Pack and Precision/Robo Pack machinery. You will follow process sheets, ensure safety, perform setup and troubleshooting, and conduct quality checks.

Ability to lift 65 pounds and teamwork are essential; forklift experience is a plus. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to shift schedules in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Pack tubular wire according to route card and process sheet.
• Operate and switch between multiple machines.
• Perform quality checks and place nonconforming products on hold.
• Conduct setup, changeover, adjustments, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Perform rework, restock, and housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate with team and read schedules.

Job Description:

Packaging drum pack tubular wire for customer use according to Route Card / process sheet and production schedule requirements.

• Operate safely and identify / correct unsafe situations.
• Follow process specifications for machine setup, production, and packaging.
• Run multiple machines.
• Perform specified quality checks.
• Complete machine setup, change over, cast / sinewave adjustments, and troubleshooting in a timely manner.
• Place nonconforming products on hold.
• Perform rework.
• Perform restock and housekeeping.
• Willing to train on and operate other machines / processes as necessary.
• Read and update schedule.

Qualifications

• Training on applicable Precision / Robo Pack and Drum Pack machinery is required.
• Able to lift approx. 65 pounds on a continual basis.
• Able to safely load / unload reels in and out of machine.
• Able to meet / exceed specified production rates.
• Able to meet expectations for safety, attendance, and time management.
• Possess an excellent quality record.
• Possess an excellent attitude, communication, and team working skills.
• Forklift experience may be required.
