Job Description

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, reviewing, and publishing documentation. This position will coordinate, prioritize, and implement writing and documentation projects including a rotating review and maintenance of existing documentation. The role involves collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), Trainers, Business Process Analysts, and management to develop and produce necessary materials for new processes and plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough knowledge of tools used at Prime to document processes and write user guides, including Microsoft Office Suite, RxCLAIM, Benefit Edit Tool, IBM Notes, CoverMyMeds, Clinical Review Engine, MSA, Clinical Operations Review Engine, and Prime Knowledge Resources.
• Write, edit, review, and publish documentation regularly to ensure information is up-to-date; update documentation as needed and communicate changes.
• Create new documentation such as SOPs, desktop procedures, job aids, user guides, training materials, and process flows, especially prior to new client or process implementation.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Trainers, and Business Process Analysts to ensure accuracy in process documentation.
• Support various project tasks, organize and manage work efficiently, and ensure attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment with leaders, pharmacists, and analysts.
• Write and review clinical pharmacy documents, particularly Therapeutic Class Reviews, and manage documentation effectively.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Education, or related field; or equivalent experience. HS diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical or process documentation.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Snagit, and Teams.
• Strong writing, editing, process orientation, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in PBM or pharmacy environments.
• Experience with web-based workflow tools like Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or similar experience.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology.

Physical Demands

• Constant sitting, handling, talking, hearing; frequent reaching; occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching; lifting up to 10 pounds; good vision abilities.

Potential salary ranges from $59,000 to $94,000 based on experience.
