Job Description

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, reviewing, and publishing documentation. This position will coordinate, prioritize, and implement writing and documentation projects, including a rotating review and maintenance of existing documentation. Collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), Trainers, Business Process Analysts, and management is essential for developing and producing materials for new processes and plans.

Responsibilities
  • Develop thorough knowledge of tools used at Prime for documenting processes and writing user guides, including Microsoft Office Suite, RxCLAIM, Benefit Edit Tool, IBM Notes, CoverMyMeds, Clinical Review Engine, MSA, Clinical Operations Review Engine, and Prime Knowledge Resources.
  • Write, edit, review, and publish all documentation in regular rotation to ensure up-to-date information; update documentation as needed.
  • Create new documentation (e.g., SOPs, desktop procedures, job aids, user guides, training materials, process flows) prior to new client or process implementation.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, Trainers, and Business Process Analysts to ensure accuracy in process documentation.
  • Support project tasks and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Write and review clinical pharmacy documents, especially Therapeutic Class Reviews; experience in document management and technical writing is highly desirable.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Education, or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical or process-specific documentation.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Snagit, and Teams.
  • Strong writing, editing, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PBM or pharmacy environments.
  • Experience with workflow management systems like Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged sitting, use of hands, talking, hearing.
  • Reaching, standing, walking, lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Position pay ranges from $59,000 to $94,000 based on experience and skills. Benefits details are available on our Benefits Page.
