Job Description

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, reviewing, and publishing documentation. This position will coordinate, prioritize, and implement writing and documentation projects, including a rotating review and maintenance of existing documentation. The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs), Trainers, Business Process Analysts, and management to develop and produce necessary materials for new processes and plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of tools used at Prime for documenting processes and writing user guides, including Microsoft Office Suite, RxCLAIM, Benefit Edit Tool, IBM Notes, CoverMyMeds, Clinical Review Engine, MSA, Clinical Operations Review Engine, and Prime Knowledge Resources.
• Write, edit, review, and publish documentation regularly to ensure up-to-date information; update documentation as needed and communicate changes effectively.
• Create new documentation such as SOPs, desktop procedures, job aids, user guides, training materials, and process flows before new client or process implementation.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Trainers, and Business Process Analysts to ensure accuracy in process documentation.
• Support various project tasks, organize and manage work efficiently, and maintain attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment with leaders, pharmacists, and business analysts.
• Experience in writing and reviewing clinical pharmacy documents, especially Therapeutic Class Reviews, is highly desirable.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Education, or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical or process documentation.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa or residency sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Snagit, and Teams.
• Strong writing, editing, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PBMs, web-based workflow systems like Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology.

Physical Demands

• Sitting, using hands, talking, hearing, reaching, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 10 pounds, and vision requirements.

Potential salary ranges from $59,000 to $94,000, depending on experience and skills.
