Responsibilities
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
- Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to facilitate smooth product transition into the store and inventory logs.
- Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to ensure system integrity (including Computer Assisted Ordering).
- Check condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of received products.
- Process damaged/returned goods and complete related paperwork.
- Manage inventory for all delivered products.
- Ensure vendors follow company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep logs.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
- Ensure maximum security of the receiving area.
- Develop and train DSD Receiver backup.
- Report customer or employee accidents to management.
- Maintain Electronic Store Invoice records.
- Keep the Backroom clean and organized, ensuring sufficient space for deliveries.
- Collaborate with Home Department associates to maintain an organized backroom.
- Process returns, recalls, and reclamation.
- Complete Marketplace Home Audits as needed.
- Assist in other tasks as directed by management.
- Report safety risks, illegal activities, theft, or fraud.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications
- Previous receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in a second language is a plus.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
