Mars Petcare in Franklin, TN seeks a DRP Analyst to ensure finished goods reach the right place at the right time, balancing costs and service across the Dry, Wet, Care & Treats segments. You will serve as the main contact for replenishment escalations and act as a Key User for SAP and JDA Apollo.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in supply chain planning, inventory deployment, logistics, or distribution resource planning (DRP).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including intermediate-to-advancedMicrosoft Exceland experience navigatingPower BIor similar BI reporting dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of domestic freight operations, load optimization principles (payload weight, cube utilization, pallet tiers), and transit modes.
  • Proven ability to manage exceptions, resolve logistics bottlenecks, and communicate effectively across cross‑functional teams (plants, warehouses, carriers, and 3PL partners).

Responsibilities

  • Leverage advanced planning systems (SAP, Power BI) to analyze item‑level inventory across manufacturing plants and distribution centers, orchestrating product movement to maximize customer fill rates while minimizing total landed costs.
  • Maintain and govern critical planning parameters inOMP to ensure accurate automated deployment and "right-first-time" execution.
  • Maximize freight efficiency and cost savings by strategically building and consolidating multi‑SKU truckloads—optimizing weight, pallet count, product mix, and modal selection (e.g., intermodal vs. OTR).
  • Drive performance against key replenishment metrics (Customer Fill Rate, On-Time Replenishment, Payload Utilization, and Intermodal Adoption), actively identifying root causes and deploying corrective actions.
  • Proactively manage Stock Transport Orders (STOs) and dynamic inventory transfers on an exception basis, collaborating with logistics partners (3PLs), plants, and DCs to resolve transit delays and receipt discrepancies.
  • Balance daily inbound and outbound shipment schedules across sites to ensure volume aligns with warehouse throughput and carrier capacity constraints.
  • Monitor network‑wide stock levels daily to execute inter‑site assistance and inventory rebalancing, supporting manufacturing facilities during supply‑demands imbalances.
  • Utilize JDA Replenishment Workbench suite and Replenishment databases including SAP & various Tableau reports, to analyze the inventory position by item and location. Uses info to determine correct quantities and locations to distribute finished product between plants & distribution centers to maximize customer service at the lowest costs, including inventory that is currently available, and/or future production.
  • Builds truckloads of finished goods from plant to warehouse by consolidating SKUs in a manner that makes the best use of freight transportation dollars. Delivers costs savings to the business annually through truck and transportation mode utilization.
  • Attains target level metrics for replenishment area (Customer Fill Rate, Replenishment On‑Time shipping, Aging inbounds, Intermodal Utilization, Payload Utilization, & Assistance Spend Tracking) to determine and implement the required actions necessary to positively affect targeted goals.
  • Manage and balance the number of inbound and outbound shipments to/from plants and warehouses to ensure the amount of loads scheduled does not exceed location throughput or freight capacities.
  • Proactively call out service risks through daily JTM & CMOS huddles, weekly LMOS, Regional DOR calls, Ops Huddles inputs, or other forums. Analyze and determine root causes of service failures in order to implement and communicate appropriate actions going forward. Lead JTM/CMOS and other operational execution meetings as needed.
  • As Key User, serves as the first point of contact for peer and cross‑functional end‑users when there are process or system related issues or failures. Escalates to FEs when needed. Responsible for documenting existing and new Replenishment processes and standard routines through use of one‑point lessons, SOPs, and playbooks.
