Job summary

Little Creek Casino Resort seeks a meticulous Cash Handler to safeguard casino assets by accurately counting and transporting cash boxes from gaming machines, tables, and kiosks. You will document currency details, report discrepancies, and support reconciliation processes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ age, and the ability to pass a background check. Prior cash handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and transport all drop boxes from gaming machines and table games to the count room.
• Accurately count and record currency, coins, and tickets; perform clipping, strapping, bundling and bagging as appropriate.
• Document mutilated and counterfeit currency and coin; report findings to TGA, Cage, and Finance.
• Verify, reconcile and balance funds; draft or prepare necessary documentation.
• Verify funds balance to totals and hand over funds to a cage cashier after cage verify completion.
• Operate counting machines and related information systems (software and hardware).

Are you detail-oriented and ready to play a crucial role in our financial operations? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our drop and count process. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Casino by accurately handling and counting cash boxes from gaming machines, table games, and ticket redemption kiosks, all while adhering to established policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect and Transport: Remove, exchange, and collect all gaming machine and table game drop boxes, transporting them to the count room.
• Accurate Counting: Count and record currency, coin, and tickets (clipping, strapping, bundling, and bagging as appropriate) from gaming machines, table games, and ticket redemption kiosks.
• Record Keeping: Document mutilated and counterfeit currency and coin, reporting findings to TGA, the Cage, and Finance.
• Verification and Reconciliation: Perform verification, reconciliation, and balancing functions, including drafting or preparing necessary documentation.
• Fund Management: Verify funds balance to totals and hand over funds to a cage cashier upon completion of the cage verify process.
• Operational Efficiency: Understand and efficiently operate all machines used in the course of business, including counting machines and other information systems, both software and hardware.
