Responsibilities

  • Secure canisters and machines after pulls.
  • Download information for accountability and prepare daily reports.
  • Check in/out sensitive keys and enforce internal controls.
  • Adhere to internal controls and SOPs.
  • Ensure daily cash counts and verify cash drops.
  • Wear appropriate clothing and use required equipment; suggest needs to supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with team members and guests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Count Team Member is responsible for the efficient drop/count of all currency in the casino and to ensure proper accountability of these items; The Team Member will also be familiar with all equipment necessary to accomplish the tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs all tasks in compliance with Gaming Regulations and Departmental policies and procedures;

Prior to starting the daily operations, perform cash drop, activates the cash clearance process on the on-line accounting computer system. After the drop is complete, deactivates the process on the system;

Scans, removes and replaces canisters for each slot machine in an assigned area;

Ensures each canister is properly secured in the drop cart;

Ensures each machine is properly secured after the pull is performed;

Downloads information in the Management system for accountability;

Prepare the appropriate daily reports for Accounting;

Responsible for check in/out sensitive keys;

Evaluate, suggest modifications to and ensure compliance with the Internal Controls and department standard operating procedures;

Responsible for the efficient count of all currency in the casino and ensure proper accountability;

Responsible for the daily count and verification of cash drop from slot machine bill validators;

Complete all required reports;

Ensure the daily soft counts are completed according to Minimum Internal Control Standards, Policies and Procedures, and department standard operating procedures;

Ensure appropriate clothing is worn at all times;

Use required equipment and make suggestions to the Supervisor on additional equipment needs or requirements;

Communicate with Team members and guests in a professional and courteous manner;

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; GED

Basic computer skills necessary for operation of Secure Drop system;

Demonstrated cash handling skills, specifically dealing with weighing and wrapping;

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.

Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity to work with money and machines;

Be able to lift up to and over 25 pounds;

Be able to bend and twist without restriction;

Be able to stand for extended periods of time;

Be able to walk for extended periods of time and/or extended distances;

Be able to move about freely and access all areas of the facility and travel off property;
