Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to assemble UAV components and integrate propulsion systems on a contract-to-hire basis at our San Diego site. You will work hands-on on flight-critical assemblies, supported by engineers and technicians, and contribute to meeting rigorous mechanical standards.

The role emphasizes safety, precision, and adherence to 5S/ESD practices, with opportunities to grow expertise in aerospace manufacturing while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience in UAV/aerospace or related tech field.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and written build docs.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble UAV components and structural assemblies per detailed specs and work instructions.
• Ensure proper alignment, torque, and fastening of mechanical components to meet quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, exploded views, and wiring diagrams for builds.
• Perform functional and mechanical checks to verify form, fit, and basic performance.
• Maintain build records, logs, and checklists for traceability and compliance.
