Job summary

Valcourt Building Services is seeking a skilled Drone Operator to fly the Lucid Bots Sherpa Drone for pressure washing and window cleaning on mid-rise to high-rise buildings. The role requires FAA Part 107 certification, experience with commercial drone use, and strict adherence to safety and environmental standards.

You will perform pre- and post-flight checks, develop site-specific cleaning plans, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 certification required for commercial drone operation.
• Experience operating drones for commercial applications, preferably in pressure washing or building maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of drone operation laws and building safety standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills for drone equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail, spatial awareness, and operational precision.
• Physical ability to transport, set up, and manage drone equipment.
• Basic understanding of building facades, pressure washing techniques, and water management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration and client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate the drone for pressure washing and window cleaning on mid-rise to high-rise buildings.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections for safety and performance compliance.
• Analyze building surfaces to tailor cleaning strategies.
• Maintain precise drone control to prevent damage during operations.
• Adhere to FAA regulations and maintain line-of-sight and avoid restricted airspaces.
• Follow Valcourt safety protocols and complete risk assessments and site plans.
• Ensure environmental compliance, including runoff management.
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and calibration.
• Document processes with photos, client reports, and logs.
• Report incidents or near-misses to management and participate in resolutions.
• Coordinate access, water sources, and project schedules with site teams.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and provide project updates.
