Our Client in San Diego seeks a mechanical engineer to join the hardware development team. This role focuses on owning the full lifecycle of physical hardware—from concept through manufacture—covering enclosure, packaging, and drone integration.

You will prototype rapidly using in-house 3D printing, design drone attachments and ruggedized enclosures like Dongle Cases and Bridge Boxes, and oversee field testing and demonstrations as drones take flight.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in full lifecycle hardware design.
• Ability to prototype rapidly and test in the field.
• Design of drone attachments and ruggedized enclosures.

Aufgaben

• Design and oversee manufacture of Dongle Cases, Bridge Boxes, and other ruggedized electronic enclosures
• Specify, source, and customize swarm packaging solutions including Pelican cases and precision foam inserts
• Design, test, and manufacture drone attachments and physical modifications, from simple brackets to actuated mechanisms
• Collaborate with the engineering team on mechanism design, prototyping, and field validation
