Job summary

Our Client is seeking a mechanical engineer to join its hardware development team in San Diego, CA. The role targets a designer and builder capable of owning the full lifecycle of physical hardware—from concept through manufacture—across enclosure, packaging, and drone integration products.

You will design ruggedized enclosures such as Dongle Cases and Bridge Boxes, and work on drone attachments, swarm packaging, and field-testing with in-house prototyping.

Qualifications

• Design and manufacture ruggedized enclosures and drone-related components.
• Experience with full hardware lifecycle from concept to production.
• Willingness to travel for field testing and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee manufacture of Dongle Cases and Bridge Boxes.
• Specify, source, and customize swarm packaging including Pelican cases and foam inserts.
• Design, test, and manufacture drone attachments and actuated mechanisms.
• Collaborate with engineering on mechanism design, prototyping, and field validation.
