Job summary

Randstad Digital Americas seeks a Drone Flight Service Operator to oversee ground operations for local hubs in Palm Harbor, FL. You will own aircraft setup, turnaround, safety checks, and nest station readiness in a field-based role with high autonomy and varied scheduling options.

Core shifts run 8:30am-8:30pm CT with flexibility to 7:00am-10:00pm and up to 40 hours weekly. This role requires Part 107 certification, a valid driver's license, and FAA-compliant operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft inspections (pre-flight and post-flight) and daily start/end of day activities.
• Conduct nest equipment inspections and safety checks; ensure smooth flight operations per FAA regulations.
• Set up and take down delivery drones; perform safety checks and coordinate with Pilot-in-Command.
• Log forms at each site and participate in crew briefs.
• Maintain communication with client Pilot-in-Command and troubleshoot ground faults.

Bring your aviation mindset to the front lines of commercial drone delivery as a Drone Flight Service Operator. Operating as a vital member of our Palm Harbor Team, you will oversee ground operations across local network hubs-taking full ownership of aircraft setup, turnaround, safety checks, and nest station readiness. This is an active, field-based role designed for a disciplined, safety-conscious professional who wants hands‑on exposure to cutting‑edge UAS operations while enjoying high-impact field autonomy and unique scheduling options.

Various shifts are available. Core hours are 8:30am-8:30pm CT, but hours will vary between 7:00am-10:00pm with a max of 40 hours a week. Hours are dependent upon business needs, personal preference, and may vary between a traditional 8 hours, 5 days a week or even 12, 12, 12, 4.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft inspections (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections), daily start of day and end of day activities
• Perform routine aircraft standard practices (as defined in Client UAS Maintenance Manual)
• Perform nest equipment inspections (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections), daily start of day and end of day activities
• Responsible for setting up and taking down delivery drones, performing safety checks, and ensuring smooth flight operations in compliance with FAA regulations and company protocols.
• Participate in Crew Briefs
• Maintain communications with the client Pilot-in-Command
• Perform aircraft conditional checks and troubleshoot ground faults.
• Replace unserviceable aircraft as needed.
• Log proper forms at each site
• Pick up any trash that could come in contact with an AC
• Execute physical recovery operations
• Conduct prioritized nest visits across assigned sector.

Qualifications

• Must have valid drivers license and current auto insurance
• Must pass BGV and MVR
• Must have Part 107 Certification/License
• Eligible to drive regular vehicle at average of 40-50 Miles per day
• Being safety focused driven with pervious jobs. Performing safety checks, and ensuring smooth flight operations in compliance with FAA regulations and company protocols

Physical Requirements

• Lift from ground level and carry up to 35 lbs and carry multiple items at the same time
• Crouch down and pick up or place objects from/to the ground weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
• Push or pull a wheeled cart on level ground weighing up to two hundred (200) pounds
• Be on feet constantly walking (10k+ steps per day)
• Work outside in various weather conditions (light rain, wind, temperatures ranging from 23F to 110F)
• Maintain mental and visual alertness
