Job summary

Service Robot Co. in Irving, Texas is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair drones and docking stations at customer sites.

You will diagnose faults, replace components, update firmware, and perform regular maintenance while communicating clearly with customers and keeping detailed service records. Travel to client sites and occasional overnight trips are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronics repair, RC or FPV drone building, avionics, low-voltage systems, or similar hands-on work.
• Patience with small parts and precise repairs.
• A methodical approach to fault finding.
• Accurate records and clear communication.
• Comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Availability to drive, work outdoors, and travel overnight occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in drones, docks, and charging systems.
• Repair or replace propellers, motors, electronic speed controllers, batteries, gimbals, and cameras.
• Update firmware and calibrate equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Follow lithium battery procedures for storage, charging, transport, and disposal.
• Record faults, repairs, replacement parts, and follow-up work.
• Keep spare parts available and report recurring problems.
• Explain repairs and next steps to customers.
