Job summary

Service Robot Co. in Compton, CA, is seeking a field-based technician to install, maintain, and repair drones and their docking/charging stations at customer sites.

This contract role starts with paid on a per-work-order basis and offers hourly pay from $25 to $55 depending on experience and location. The role requires diagnosing faults, performing repairs to propellers, motors, batteries, gimbals, and cameras, updating firmware, and conducting regular maintenance.

The role

Install, maintain, and repair drones and their docking and charging stations at customer sites.

What you will do

What we are looking for

• Experience with electronics repair, RC or FPV drone building, avionics, low-voltage systems, or similar hands-on work.
• Patience with small parts and precise repairs.
• A methodical approach to finding faults.
• Accurate records and clear communication.
• Comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Availability to drive, work outdoors, and travel overnight occasionally.

Training

You will complete an online course through our Service Robot Co. Academy, followed by in-person training and the industry certifications needed for this role. The Academy is certificate training that we subsidize. Your first job is paid, with a specialist supporting you remotely.
