Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking a field technician in Irvine, CA to install, repair, and maintain drones and docking stations at customer sites. This contract role pays per work order and requires travel, outdoor work, and occasional overnight trips.

You should have hands-on electronics repair experience, familiarity with RC/FPV drones or avionics, and a methodical approach to diagnosing faults. Training is provided through the Service Robot Co. Academy and on-site instruction.

• Patience with small parts and precise repairs.
• A methodical approach to finding faults.
• Accurate records and clear communication.
• Comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Availability to drive, work outdoors, and travel overnight occasionally.

The role

Install, maintain, and repair drones and their docking and charging stations at customer sites.

What you will do

• Diagnose faults in drones, docks, and charging systems.
• Repair or replace propellers, motors, electronic speed controllers, batteries, gimbals, and cameras.
• Update firmware and calibrate equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Follow lithium battery procedures for storage, charging, transport, and disposal.
• Record faults, repairs, replacement parts, and follow-up work.
• Keep spare parts available and report recurring problems.
• Explain repairs and next steps to customers.
