Service Robot Co. is seeking a hands-on Drone Technician to install, repair, and maintain drones and their docking stations at customer sites in Lynwood, California.

You will diagnose faults, replace components, update firmware, and perform scheduled maintenance while documenting work and communicating clearly with customers. Travel and outdoor work are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronics repair, RC or FPV drone building, avionics, low-voltage systems, or similar hands-on work.
• Patience with small parts and precise repairs.
• A methodical approach to finding faults.
• Accurate records and clear communication.
• Comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Availability to drive, work outdoors, and travel overnight occasionally.

• Update firmware and calibrate equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Follow lithium battery procedures for storage, charging, transport, and disposal.
• Record faults, repairs, replacement parts, and follow-up work.
• Keep spare parts available and report recurring problems.
• Explain repairs and next steps to customers.

The role

Training

You will complete an online course through our Service Robot Co. Academy, followed by in-person training and the industry certifications needed for this role. The Academy is certificate training that we subsidize. Your first job is paid, with a specialist supporting you remotely.
