Service Robot Co. in Lakewood, California is seeking a field technician to install, maintain, and repair drones and their docking and charging stations at customer sites.

This role is contract work paid per work order, with an hourly-equivalent rate between $25 and $55 depending on experience and job complexity. You will diagnose faults, replace components, update firmware, and perform scheduled maintenance while documenting work and adhering to lithium battery procedures.

Qualificações

• Experience with electronics repair, RC or FPV drone building, avionics, low-voltage systems or similar hands-on work.
• Patience with small parts and precise repairs.
• Methodical approach to fault finding.
• Accurate records and clear communication.
• Comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Willingness to drive, work outdoors and travel overnight occasionally.

The role

What you will do

• Diagnose faults in drones, docks, and charging systems.

• Keep spare parts available and report recurring problems.
• Explain repairs and next steps to customers.

Training

You will complete an online course through our Service Robot Co. Academy, followed by in-person training and the industry certifications needed for this role. The Academy is certificate training that we subsidize. Your first job is paid, with a specialist supporting you remotely.
