Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer (Drone Stack Team) to architect and field autonomy systems, bridging hardware and software on real vehicle platforms. You will stand up integrations, run SIL and HIL evaluations, and support live testing in the field.

You will work with teams across the company to ship scalable autonomy capabilities for defense and commercial customers, owning end-to-end hardware-software integration and demos.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics, CS, or related engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on robotics hardware/software integration.
• Proficiency in modern C++ with Docker and Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL).

Responsibilities

• Build and tailor modular autonomy capabilities for defense missions on embedded Linux platforms.
• Integrate autonomy software with vehicle hardware and UAS architectures; build service-oriented architectures.
• Lead SIL/HIL bring-up, test, and live flight testing across UAVs (Group 1–5).
• Diagnose and resolve complex software/integration issues to maintain performance.
• Collaborate with DoD experts and UAS vendors to deploy software on OEM aircraft.
