Job summary

Flytrex seeks an Assembly Technician for its Pilot Point, TX operations to perform assembly, testing, and quality control of the Flytrex Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). You will work with the supply chain team at our IL headquarters and ensure conformance to design specifications.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, audits for QMS compliance, and precise assembly per drawings. Travel within the U.S. may be required for supplier and quality activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience working with small electronic systems, electrical circuitry, motor systems, or aircraft/UAS/rotorcraft experience.
• Strong foundational understanding of engineering principles and practical manufacturing applications.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and communicate professionally.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify technical data to perform root-cause analysis on routine operational issues.
• Assist with hardware, software, and system-level audits to verify compliance with QMS standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform final adjustments, alignments, and calibrations to ensure adherence to quality standards and technical specifications.
• Safely operate hand and power tools (routers, drills, die grinders) to execute work instructions.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges) to verify tolerances.
• Interpret and apply engineering drawings and schematics to assemble components efficiently.
• Document audit findings and inspection results in standardized formats.
• Follow engineering documentation and work orders to maintain configuration control.
