Job summary

Invenergy, based in Chicago, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support remanufacturing and drivetrain manufacturing at ICMS. You will work with shop operations, Quality, EHS, and engineering teams to improve reliability, quality, and repower execution.

The role emphasizes process standardization, issue resolution, and data-driven improvements, with some travel required and a base pay range of $85,000–$108,000 plus a 15% bonus. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in manufacturing/operations/reliability engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and inspection data.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with moderate guidance.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for ICMS remanufacturing and drivetrain activities.
• Support teardown reviews and failure analysis of main shaft components.
• Evaluate wear and condition to inform engineering decisions.
• Develop and improve rebuild/assembly procedures and inspection requirements.
• Participate in RCA and non-conformance investigations; support corrective actions.
• Analyze inspection data and manufacturing reports to identify trends.
• Define and support inspection standards and traceability with Quality.
• Identify gaps and help develop standardized solutions.
• Support CAD/drawing updates and engineering documentation.
• Assist in safety and risk evaluations with EHS and vendors.
• Travel and field support as needed.
