Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring Wheelchair Drivers in Florida for full-time shifts. The role involves responding to transportation requests, delivering high-quality care and customer service to patients, and ensuring safe, timely transfers between facilities.

Responsibilities include documenting trip details, maintaining vehicle safety, and collaborating with healthcare and safety teams. CPR and a valid license are required, with GED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: State Driver's License.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• CPR card.
• Driving record in accordance with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to operation and dispatch requests and use maps/addresses to transport customers.
• Document trip information clearly and follow company policies while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean vehicle environment and complete the vehicle checklist at shift start; report issues to Fleet Manager.
• Use standard radio transmission codes and ensure compliance with information security standards.
• Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair; use PPE and manage disposal of supplies as needed.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health/public safety personnel and fellow drivers/operations team.

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! DRIVER FULL-TIME Opportunity

We're hiring Wheelchair Drivers that will respond to requests for transportation needs and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Drivers will respond to operation and dispatch requests and use the necessary tools, maps and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
• Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in maintaining a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
• Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company’s information security standards.
• Drivers will operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair as well as be able to use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow drivers and operations team.
