Job summary

General Insulation Company in Groveport, OH is seeking a Driver/Warehouse Associate. This full-time role includes pulling orders, loading/unloading freight, delivering on schedule, and maintaining accurate inventory as the company’s eyes and ears in the field.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and a DOT medical card; forklift experience is a plus. Expect safety-conscious operations and opportunities for growth within a large national distributor.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Valid DOT Med Card required.
• Two years safe driving experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 40-70 pounds or more regularly.
• Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop frequently.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Willing to work odd hours including evenings, holidays, weekends; occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders correctly and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Unload/load all incoming and outgoing freight.
• Make all deliveries on time.
• Be the eyes and ears of the company in the field and report feedback.
• Ensure cleanliness of warehouse and office area.
• Pick up materials from local vendors.
• Clean trucks.
• Work with Inside Sales to ensure routing is efficient.
• Attend branch meetings and mandatory inventories.
• Maintain safety mindset in all duties performed.

Job Requirements:

• Works under the direction of the General and Operations Manager.
• Ensures all orders are pulled correctly and inventory is accurate.
• Unload/load all incoming and outgoing freight.
• Make all deliveries on time.
• Be the “eyes and ears” of the company in the field by reporting any customer feedback or competitive information to Operations or General Manager.
• Ensure cleanliness of warehouse and office area.
• Pick up materials from local vendors.
• Clean Trucks.
• Work with Inside Sales to ensure routing of truck is efficient.
• Attend any branch meetings called on behalf of Operations or General Manager.
• Attend and work all mandatory Saturday physical inventories.
• Works the necessary hour work week in order to get the job done.
• Maintains safety mindset in all duties performed, especially (but not limited to) driving, material handling and job site evaluation.

Candidate Requirements:

• High school Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License Required
• Valid DOT Med Card Required
• Preferably two (2) years of safe driving experience
• Forklift certification or experience preferred
• Must be able to lift and move items 40-70 pounds or more on a regular basis
• Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be willing to work odd hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends. Occasional travel may be required.
