U.S. Xpress is seeking a Driver Development Specialist to deliver comprehensive driver training across classroom, one-on-one, and hands-on formats. You will lead simulations, video-based learning, and practical evaluations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong instructional skills, at least 3 years in training, and experience with DOT/FMCSR standards. The position offers on-site work at Ellenwood, with opportunities to develop programs and mentor drivers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in training/development delivery.
• Experience with driver training and development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver training in classroom, one-on-one, and hands-on settings.
• Utilize simulations and role-playing to reinforce learning outcomes.
• Maintain attendance, completions, and evaluations in training records.
• Coach drivers to improve safety and compliance with DOT/FMCSR requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations and Safety to address violations and improvement plans.
• Lead in-person trainings and online sessions; schedule and track sessions.
