Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee who will learn to operate tractor trailer or straight truck on local and interstate routes to deliver food products. You will complete training with a trainer and perform safety checks under DOT regulations.

Starting between 3-5AM, Monday through Friday with Saturdays as needed, you will join a team focused on safe, accurate deliveries and professional customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 0-6 months commercial driving experience, CDL permit addressable.
• Valid CDL A and DOT Health Card where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete driver trainee training per required program.
• Assist driver trainer with deliveries and follow safety directions.
• Perform safety checks and DOT compliant inspections daily.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders on schedule and unload at customer sites.
• Maintain paperwork accuracy and secure all freight.
