Job summary

King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Distributor Operator / Tack Truck Driver for our Liberty, SC area. The role requires a valid CDL with tanker endorsement and a solid understanding of asphalt paving processes.

You will operate and maintain distributor equipment, apply tack/prime, perform minor maintenance, and complete related paperwork. Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Valid SC CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement.
• DOT physical proof required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and load/unload asphalt distributor equipment.
• Apply tack or prime to pavements as directed.
• Understand paving concepts including grades, drainage, and compaction.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major issues to supervisor.
• Complete required paperwork efficiently.

ASPHALT DISTRIBUTOR OPERATOR / TACK TRUCK DRIVER

King Asphalt, Inc. is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill an Asphalt Distributor Operator position for our local operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• May oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment
• Loading and unloading distributor
• Proper application of tack or prime
• Possess a solid understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction, and other details related to asphalt paving
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience required.
• Must have a valid South Carolina CDL Class A or B with a tanker endorsement.
• Must have proof of current DOT physical.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently.
• Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid South Carolina driver's license.
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check.
