Job summary

King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Distributor Operator / Tack Truck Driver for local operations in South Carolina. This role requires precise control of the distributor and tack truck, with day and night shifts.

You will load/unload, apply tack or prime, and ensure equipment is kept in good working order. Qualified candidates will have a valid SC CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement, a current DOT physical, and the ability to work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid SC CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement.
• Current DOT medical certificate.
• Ability to work days, nights or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• May oil, grease, service, and perform minor adjustments to equipment.
• Load and unload asphalt distributor.
• Properly apply tack or prime material.
• Understand paving processes including grades, drainage and patterns.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor servicing; escalate major issues.
• Assist with related duties such as shovel work and setting lines.
