Job summary

MTM Transit in State College, PA is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time non-CDL drivers to provide safe, reliable transportation and exceptional customer service. You will assist with passenger loading and adhere to DOT safety standards while maintaining accurate trip documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma or GED, are 21+, have a clean driving history, possess a PA Class C license, and can pass background checks and a DOT background/drug screen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Minimum 5 years driving history.
• PA Class C license or ability to obtain.
• No DWI/DUI charges in last 10 years.
• No more than two moving violations in 3 years.
• Background check and DOT drug/alcohol screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading.
• Maintain on-time pickups and drop-offs.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Comply with DOT and safety protocols.
• Operate tablets or electronic devices as required.

What will your job look like?

MTM Transit is looking for Full-Time and Part Time, Non - CDL Drivers to join our team in State College, PA. We currently have training classes that start every couple of weeks!

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Location: 1155 Benner Pike Suite 120, State College, PA 16801

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Minimum 5 years driving history
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license or ability to obtain
• No DWI/DUI charges within the last 10 years
• Must not have had more than two moving traffic violations within the previous three-year period
• Must not have a serious traffic violation for reckless driving
• Must pass criminal background check investigation
• Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• Valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area

What You’ll Do:

• Provide safe and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
• Complete paperwork as required
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
