• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Facility: Via Christi Village McLean
• Location: Wichita, KS
• Salary: $16.50 - $22.33 per hour

Responsibilities

• Transport people from site while maintaining the assigned schedule.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner.
• Inform supervisor of any unusual situations or accidents immediately.
• Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Comply with all traffic safety rules and regulations.
• Assist the department supervisor with daily activities of the Transportation department.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle daily for cleanliness and safety issues.
• Maintain accurate logs per required standards.
• Follow established schedules, adjust schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determine safest and most efficient routes.
• Drive specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons; operate wheelchair lifts and tie-down equipment properly and ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Drivers License obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• One or more of the following required: BLS Provider or Heart Saver AED within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted).
• Chauffeur preferred.

• Education:
• High School diploma or equivalency OR 1 year of relevant experience.
• Note: Professional licensure/certification can substitute for education or experience if applicable.
