Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring Shuttle Drivers to deliver full trailers to the domicile and return empties to the Distribution Center. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service while supporting a nationwide network.

The position requires a valid CDL-A, a minimum of 21 years old, and at least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience. You will work in a fast-paced distribution environment with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul.
• Work safely to prevent injuries and damage to products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

What you’ll do as a Shuttle Driver:

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
