Job summary

McLane Company, Inc in Manassas, Virginia is hiring a Shuttle Driver to deliver full trailers to domiciles and return empties to the distribution center. This full-time role requires a valid CDL-A and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience while following DOT rules and maintaining logs.

You will help move products safely within a large, nationwide distribution network. We offer day-1 benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and life insurance, plus 401(k) after 90 days, paid

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid CDL-A with safe driving history.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Meets McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul as needed.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $55,000 to $65,000

What you'll do as a Shuttle Driver:

Qualifications you'll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
