Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver to deliver full trailers to domicile and return empties to the DC. This role requires a CDL-A, at least 21, and driving experience.

You’ll log DOT-compliant records, secure cargo, and perform line haul/backhaul as needed. The company offers comprehensive benefits from day one and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for safety and job duties.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure that product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul as needed.
• Work safely to prevent injury and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

• Pay Rate: Shuttle Drivers make $65,000 to $75,000.

What you’ll do as a Shuttle Driver:

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
