Job summary

McLane Company, Inc in Kentucky is seeking a Shuttle Driver who will deliver full trailers to the domicile and return empty trailers to the Distribution Center. This role offers a competitive pay rate, benefits from day one, and a schedule that includes Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with start times around 12:30pm–1:00pm.

You will inspect rigs, secure loads, maintain DOT-compliant logs, and help with occasional line haul or backhaul while keeping safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Basic reading/writing in English for safety instructions and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul as needed.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $75,000-$80,000 per year.
• Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; start time between 12:30pm-1:00pm.

What you'll do as a Shuttle Driver:

Qualifications you'll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
