Job summary

Horizon Education Centers in Cleveland, OH is seeking a School Age Driver to transport children to and from school and our childcare centers. This role requires no CDL and includes split shifts with a potential full-time schedule during summer camp.

The driver will operate a 14-passenger minibus or 6-passenger vans, supervise children, support attendance and transportation documentation, and work closely with staff. A strong commitment to safety and child well-being is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 21+ years old with a clean driving record (no more than 4 points).
• Licensed for a minimum of 5 years.
• Some training/experience in child development preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Must pass background checks and medical screening.

Responsibilities

• Drive 14-passenger school minibus and/or 6-passenger minivans.
• Care for and supervise children at all times.
• Work as part of a team with teachers and staff.
• Assist in documentation for attendance and transportation services.

These primary communities are at the heart of our commitment to early childhood education.School Age DriverLocation Currently Hiring:Shoreway Childcare Center in Cleveland, Ohio - (1 split shift) M-F 7:30am until 9:30am and 2:30pm until 4:30pm school year and fulltime hours during summer camp)**Drivers are required to care for and monitor the children on the field trip.Wage Information: Pay rate of $16.50 per hour (a split shift of more than a 3-hour timespan in between has an added incentive of a $1 per hour)Reports to: Center DirectorHours: 7am until 9:30am and/or 1:30pm or 2pm until 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Hours may adjust to meet specific site hours.
