Job summary

Werner Enterprises in Dallas, TX seeks a Fleet Manager to build and maintain driver relationships and optimize loads using our systems and driver communications. You will partner with Dedicated Logistics Managers to align resources with customer needs and company goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or 2–3 years in fleet management, plus supervisory experience. Strong organization, leadership, and computer/satellite communications skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics and/or 2–3 years in fleet management/transportation.
• 6–12 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, management, and computer terminal/satellite communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet driver needs.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads.
• Understand customer dynamics and goals to improve value for Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and vendors.
• Work with Dedicated Logistics Manager/Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift.
