Paper Transport, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure our professional drivers are paid accurately and on time each week.

You’ll partner with Operations, support driver payroll questions, and help keep payroll processes running smoothly in a fast-paced transportation environment. You will process weekly activity-based payroll for 850+ drivers across multiple states, review inputs from UKG and related workflows, resolve payroll exceptions, present payroll information, and

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field.
• Payroll experience in transportation or multi-state payroll is a plus.
• Proficiency with UKG and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly activity-based payroll for 850+ drivers across multiple states, including W-2 and 1099 pay groups.
• Review, validate, and reconcile payroll inputs from UKG, TMW, and related workflows.
• Partner with Operations to resolve exceptions and support timely payroll corrections.
• Respond to driver payroll questions promptly by phone, email, and in person.
• Maintain payroll process documentation and internal controls.
• Build expertise in UKG to support processing, reporting, and improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership on new or changing pay packages as the business evolves.
• Process garnishments, tax levies, and other payroll deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements.
