Job summary

Wendell Foster in Owensboro, KY is seeking a part-time Driver to join our Transportation Department, delivering reliable and safe transportation for our clients. This role offers the chance to be part of #DifferenceMakers!

You will earn competitive pay based on your driving experience, with PTO and full benefits beginning the first of the month after 60 days. We also offer a 403(b) retirement with company contribution/match, life insurance at no cost, EAP, and tuition reimbursement as part of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Per insurance requirements, must be at least 25 years of age.
• Knowledge of vehicles, specifications, and vehicle maintenance, including vehicles used to transport individuals with disabilities.
• Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and ability to drive facility vehicles required.
• Possess or be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections while completing a Daily Report to include maintenance issues.
• Ensures assigned vehicles are clean inside and swept out at the end of the day, along with other end-of-day procedures.
• Ensures vehicles are properly equipped and stocked with required equipment and supplies each day.
• Transports passengers according to the safest and shortest route possible.
• Assists with the coordination and assignment of transportation routes and provides information to dispatch.
• Possesses knowledge of, implements, and maintains approved routes.
• Adheres to written instructions and policies concerning passengers.
• Maintains and uses the current and approved manifest.
