Job summary

Marten Transport is seeking a drivers representative to serve as a key liaison between operations and drivers across our region. You will manage driver performance and communications, ensuring customer expectations are met and service levels remain high.

The role includes daily fleet coordination, load and schedule oversight, and providing back-up support to the customer service manager. A bachelor’s degree or related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate load information, POs, maintenance coordination and general company news to drivers.
• Assist and/or manage a portion of a fleet to optimize on-time performance and costs.
• Ensure drivers understand customer and company expectations at dispatch.
• Daily accounting of assigned trucks and drivers.
• Record details on all loads booked in the assigned area.
• Act as a substitute for the customer service manager as needed.
• Supervise and monitor trailer pools in the market.
• Secure loading and unloading appointments promptly and logically.
• Report problems to regional or customer service management.
• Pursue knowledge of other positions to broaden career scope.
• Maintain service levels as required by Sales and Marketing.
