Job summary

Synagro seeks a dedicated driver to safely transport material between client locations and processing sites. You will load and unload using heavy/agricultural equipment, complete logs, and maintain equipment.

The role may involve overnight travel and strict adherence to DOT and internal regulations. A valid CDL (A or B) with tanker endorsement and a clean driving record are required, along with strong organization and route memory.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid CDL Class A or B license.
  • Tanker endorsement required.
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial driving/heavy or agricultural equipment experience.
  • Safe driving record: no serious tickets or accidents within the last 5 years; no DWI/DUI in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and deliver material to assigned destinations safely.
  • Complete daily truck logs and mileage reports.
  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on truck/equipment.
  • Comply with DOT, state, local regulations and in-house procedures.
  • Travel between job sites; may include overnight travel.

Job Summary

Responsible for safely transporting material from a clients' location and to an assigned destination for processing or disposal. Performs necessary tasks to load and unload material utilizing commercial trucks and/or heavy/agricultural equipment. (May include tankers and end dump trailers in an off road environment.)

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  1. Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD.
  2. Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
  3. Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the truck/equipment.
  4. Comply with all DOT, state, local and in-house regulations, procedures, and rules.
  5. Operate truck/equipment in a safe manner at all times.
  6. Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination.
  7. Travel from job site to job site or plant to job site. May involve overnight travel.
  8. Clean bio-solids off truck/equipment before leaving the field site or landfill.
  9. Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.
  10. Maintain operation records.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Education & Experience
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  2. Valid Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
  3. Tanker Endorsement.
  4. Minimum 2 years commercial driving/heavy or agricultural equipment experience.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
  1. Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking and Lifting up to 75 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing.
  2. The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather.
  3. The worker is subject atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
  4. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids.
  5. This position requires travel and overtime.
